Trim Carpenter Job Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Read and use blueprints and plans.
- Measure, cut, and shape lumber into multiple components.
- Ensure that the final work aligns precisely with the original specifications and complies with all relevant building codes and regulations.
- Skillfully install baseboards, crown moldings, window casings, door casings, chair rails, and cabinet trim.
- Maintain a clean and organized job site while properly disposing of waste materials.
- Exhibit a problem-solving mindset to promptly address and rectify any issues, making necessary repairs or adjustments.
Required Skills:
- Possess proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Demonstrate the ability to accurately measure, cut, and shape wood.
- Apply critical thinking skills effectively in various situations.
- Proven capacity to multitask efficiently in fast-paced work environments.
Qualifications:
- Exhibit a strong sense of dedication and an unwavering work ethic (sense of hustle).
- Display a genuine willingness and enthusiasm for continuous learning.
Education Requirements:
- Hold a High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
